Another good day at work, although the mustiness of the never-ending filmstrip collection is getting to me. Thank goodness my Rx refill came Saturday.

Another lunch with the girls today....fun fun stuff. Ate at the Cajun restaurant. I had crawfish pie and red beans and rice. YUM! Found out the girls are all closet Bush-hating liberals, even more than me, perhaps. We are going to make plans to get together and play Trivial Pursuit.

Can I just stop and say for a minute how wonderful it is to be surrounded by people I can talk to, to people who read and are interested in the same things I am, and who can make me laugh. Yeah, a few are only a decade shy of being my mom's age, but hey. 2 years of loneliness and near isolation will do that to ya, I guess.

I've actually found a few intelligent military wives online, but we never seem to be stationed in the same place. Such is my life.

On another more depressing note, sometimes I feel like the people I know online care more about me than my so-called "friends." Is that sad? Or is it just a symptom of the internet age?
