Manic Monday and Random Notes

Work is still going well.
I have tentatively scheduled a program for January. I'm getting a local author of how-to-draw books to do a demonstration and book signing. A local bookstore will bring copies of his book to sell, and the author will sign them. And the bookstore will donate 10% of profits to the Friends of the Library. I'm proud that my first actual program is something so different, and something that will help out the library, too.
Sooo many things to think about at work. I'm still working on throwing out old filmstrips (I'm finally on the M's). And I have to find a way to fit 1,500 videos into my crowded children's room. Luckily the director said not to worry about it until the new year, so I've put it at the bottom of my to-do list.
I had a pleasant surprise today...an ILS student wanted to interview me for class! He was an exciteable middle aged man. He was so funny. I hope I answered his questions well enough. He was very interested that I have taken all my classes online, and I pointed him towards SCSU for an online acquisitions class. So that was interesting. I've emailed/phoned so many librarians asking for interviews, I of course had to return the favor.
I can't wait to get paid Friday. I am almost out of food and have little to no money to go shopping. Eek! Oh well, a week eating PB&J won't kill me. Paying the bills on time is more important.
Let's see...my new BOM came in the mail today. The movers totally destroyed a bunch of my paperbacks during the move, my BOM among them. So...I had to get a new one. I will begin reading it again (since I lost my place) and hope I again find the passages that relate to these senses I've had in the past. We shall see.
I didn't work out this morning...I had trouble sleeping, so I just slept. Perhaps tomorrow. Perhaps not.
Have I said before how much I dislike my professor? He's such an arrogant prick, I can't even believe it. Gah! Of all the professors to have for my last class. Nope, can't end on a good note. Well, what else is new?
Well, I'm off for one last check of Solo Ops and I'm off to bed.
