I have gotten rid of a bunch of crap from the Reference section. No need to have atlases that show East and West Germany!
Working on dumping most of the filmstrip collection. Really, who even uses filmstrips anymore? You might be surprised. I am surprised at the number that have circulated recently. Buy a VCR people! I'm on the Fs and have a loooong way to go.
Had my first Friday lunch out with the girls at work. I use the term "girls" loosely, as the only one not close to or past 40 is 29. But it was fun. They are a wacky bunch of ladies, and they do a lot of stuff together outside of work. I think I'll like hanging out with them. I really like most of the people I work with.
Ooh, and I dressed up for work today! This is the reason I became a children's librarian...you can do crazy things and no one cares because you're the children's librarian and you're supposed to be a little crazy.
I wore my iridescent cape over a long black dress and loaded up the purple eye makeup (all purple eyeliner, shadow, and mascara) and glitter and even hair mascara. Fun stuff. Though one person said I looked like the Tooth Fairy. Um, what?
I'm depressed I didn't get trick-or-treaters. Now what am I going to do with this candy?
Rob left today to go to the field. So I won't be able to talk to him much, if at all, for about a week, I guess.
I'm not looking forward to this weekend. It's going to be beautiful out and I HAVE to stay inside and do homework. I don't want to.
I've started the Flylady in an attempt to clean my house. There are still boxes in the office as I sit here and type. Ihave no time or energy to put stuff away, work comes first, then school, then sleep. I can't wait until mid-December when I am DONE with school.
And sadly, I am tired and off to snuggle in bed with my kitty and hopefully finish "Wicked: Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West." Rather fitting for All Hallows Eve.
